China's foreign trade of electric motors and generators in the first half of 2020

According to customs statistics, in the first half of 2020, the total import and export value of China's trade in goods was 14.24 trillion yuan, down 3.2% year on year and 1.7 percentage points less than in the previous five months. Exports totaled 7.71 trillion yuan, down 3%. Imports were 6.53 trillion yuan, down 3.3%. The export of mechanical and electrical products was 4.5 trillion yuan, down 2.3%, while the export of motors and generators was 34.8 billion yuan, down 11.3%, 9 percentage points lower than the export of mechanical and electrical products, and 3.6 percentage points narrower than the export of small and medium-sized motor industries.

In terms of US dollar, the total value of China's import and export in the first half of the year was US $2.03 trillion, down 6.3% year on year, among which, the export was US $1.098746 trillion, down 9.2%, and the import was US $930.946 billion, down 6.4%. The export of mechanical and electrical products was 643.636 billion US dollars, down 5.5%; the export of electric motors and generators was 4.961 billion US dollars, down 14.1%, 8.6 percentage points lower than the export of mechanical and electrical products.

In terms of US dollar, the export of mechanical and electrical products and motors and generators in China in the first half year under non-trade mode is shown in Table 1 below. The comparison diagram of mechanical and electrical products and motor and generator products exported from January to June is shown in Figure 1.
